I am a charity resilience specialist who works alongside social leaders to help them feel more financially confident and financially resilient.

I am founder of Embrace Finance and co-founder of the Small Charity Friendly Collective and through this consultancy practice, I provide tailored senior-level finance support to Boards and Leadership teams of small and medium charities.

I have contributed sector-wide thinking on the financial resilience of small charities as co-designer and co-deliverer of the Lloyds Bank Foundation's Organisational Resilience Programme and co-author of the Association of Chair's Financial Leadership in Small Charities and I have delivered financial resilience training and masterclasses for NCVO, ACEVO, Lloyds Bank Foundation, The Fore Trust, Association of Chairs, Berkeley Foundation, Northern Ireland Arts and Business, FoodRise, Scottish Contemporary Artists, School for Social Entrepreneurs, Civic Power Fund, Young Trustee Movement, Trussell Trust and many, many more.

I am a member of the Institute of Accounts and Bookkeepers, I hold a Master's degree in Charity Accounting and Financial Management (Distinction) and a PG Certificate in Charity Administration. I am a Fellow of the RSA. I have a particular interest in social justice and financial justice.

How I Work

Financial resilience grows through trusted partnership and thoughtful, honest conversation. I believe this work is most powerful face-to-face, where space can be held for careful reflection, constructive challenge and clear decision-making. This work is delivered in person, either in a welcoming setting near Charing Cross or, for London-based charities, at your offices. For organisations beyond London, travel is included within the full-day partnership, allowing us the time and depth this work deserves.

Testimonial

"A few years ago you supported me with financial mentoring and I knew at the time that it revolutionised the way I view finance. It has helped GYROS hugely. We have since grown and developed and its taken a while to bed a few things in but we continue to evolve this essential activity. Thank you, thank you, thank you for inspiring us about finance - and giving us practical tips and tools to constantly improve." Louise Humphries, CEO, Gyros.
